Golden Era Fantasy - with Performance Project (Blocks 1 & 2)

Description: Think Studio Samara meets 1001 Nights, blending the elegance of the Golden Era with a modern oriental and fantasy twist. We will be dancing to the song ‘Era of Gold’ by Kareem Gad, a rich and dramatic original composition inspired by the Golden Era. A 2-part course over 9 weeks. This booking is for both Blocks 1 & 2. Block 1: ✨ Golden Era Fantasy - Technique & Combos. What we will cover: Learn the stylisation, technique and feeling of the Golden Era (including signature moves made famous by stars like Samia Gamal, Taheya Carioca and Kitty Voutsaki), with a theatrical fantasy touch including modern veil work. We’ll build the combinations and choreography that form the foundation of the performance piece. 📍 Danceworks 🗓️ 1st–22nd September (4 weeks) 🕗 8.00–9.30pm 💻 In person or on Zoom (recordings included) 🎭 Block 2 – Golden Era Fantasy - Performance Project Bring the choreography to life through theatrical staging, building the performance piece with unexpected creative elements and transitions, and polishing the routine as we prepare for the London Raks Intensive Gala Show on Saturday 7th November. 📍 Create Destroy, Southwark (10 mins from Waterloo/London Bridge or 2–3 mins from Southwark station) 🗓️ 29 Sept - 27th October (5 weeks - final class is a dress rehearsal) 🕣 8.30–9.30pm 📍 In person only (classes will be recorded for revision) - strictly limited spots Level: Intermediate & Advanced Early bird on until 13th August!
