FAQ

Q. Do I have to perform? I don't have any costumes

A. Not at all! The group performance is totally optional, but highly recommended for dancers of all experience levels. There is no requirement to have a professional costume, we will agree affordable options as a group.

Q. Will this course be too difficult for me?

A. The choreography is suitable for dancers at an intermediate level and above who are comfortable with core bellydance technique (hip drops, shimmies, eights, basic turn etc). No experience with mejance, veil or folklore required. Complex technique is taught from first principles so students of different experience levels will be able to take part. Do get in touch to discuss if you have any doubts.

Q. What if I can't make a class due to holiday or illness?

A. The class will be recorded for you to catch up in your own time. Students performing in the show need to catch up with missed classes in order to perform.

Q. Can I just book individual classes?

A. As this is a choreography course, we will build on the choreography each week therefore drop-ins are not possible.

Q. Why have you limited participant numbers?

A. Participants are limited so that I can give each student time and attention, rather than only for reasons of studio space. Once the course is full, it's full.
